Dr Khillan is a pioneering leader for healthcare in the multicultural community of Australia. He is the founded president of ‘Healthcare Awareness Society of Australia’ (HASA), a non-profit organisation within the multicultural community. This society advocates the removal of long held taboos, misinformation, myths and stigmas. It also increases accessibility and awareness of healthcare issues, particularly in women and children’s health. It empowers patients in a culturally sensitive way by giving them the confidence to consult their doctor earlier, thus minimising risk of avoidable long-term health conditions. recently he is awarded with Victoria Australian of the Year 2023.He is a senior pediatrician with 30 years of experience and working with Joan Kirner Womena nd Children Hospital, Western Health.
